The Stomp Z3-160 is the most powerful pit bike in the Stomp range, bringing serious 155cc performance together with a purpose-built big-wheel chassis.

Powered by a Zhongshen 155cc engine producing approximately 17hp at the rear wheel, the Z3-160 is a substantial step up from the smaller 110cc and 140cc pit bikes.

It combines a start-in-gear 4-speed manual gearbox, 17”/14” SDG wheels, SDG2 heavy-duty cradle frame, USD front forks, nitrogen-filled piggyback rear shock and race-spec oil cooling.

With a dry weight of approximately 71kg, an 84cm seat height and a 15-stone rider weight limit, the Z3-160 is built for experienced riders who want serious performance from a compact pit-bike platform.

This isn’t an entry-level machine. It’s a proper performance pit bike designed for riders who already understand manual clutch control and want to step up.

🔥 Zhongshen 155cc 4-Stroke Engine

At the heart of the Z3-160 is a Zhongshen 155cc single-cylinder 4-stroke engine.

The engine produces approximately:

17hp at the rear wheel

That makes the Z3-160 a serious jump in performance compared with the smaller 110cc and 140cc machines in the Stomp range.

The engine uses a 26mm race carburettor with a double foam filter, while the aluminium engine cases feature a shot-blast finish and Stomp branding.

The Z3-160 also benefits from a dedicated race oil cooler with braided steel hoses, helping manage engine temperatures during harder riding.

⚙️ Start-In-Gear 4-Speed Manual Gearbox

The Z3-160 uses a start-in-gear, all-up 4-speed manual gearbox.

This gives experienced riders full control over the engine and gearing.

The rider controls the gearbox through the foot selector and operates the manual clutch from the handlebar.

The 4-speed transmission allows the rider to:

• Select the appropriate gear for the terrain
• Control engine speed
• Change up through the gears
• Downshift when required
• Use engine braking
• Manage the engine’s power through gearing and throttle

The start-in-gear design also means the bike can be started with a gear selected when the clutch is operated correctly.

🕹️ Full Manual Control

The Z3-160 is designed for riders who are already comfortable with manual pit bikes.

With approximately 17hp at the rear wheel, this is not a bike we’d recommend as a first manual machine.

The larger engine and big-wheel chassis make the Z3-160 much more suited to riders who have already developed their clutch, throttle and gear-changing skills and are ready for substantially more performance.

If you’re still learning manual clutch control, a smaller machine such as the Stomp FXJ 110 Manual provides a much more manageable starting point.

🧊 Race-Spec Oil Cooling

One of the standout features of the Z3-160 is its race oil cooler with braided steel hoses.

The dedicated cooling system helps manage engine temperatures during harder riding and complements the larger 155cc engine.

The aluminium engine cases feature a shot-blast finish with Stomp branding, adding to the performance-focused appearance of the bike.

The front suspension uses extended 735mm CNC-machined USD oil-filled forks.

The upside-down fork design gives the Z3-160 the suspension hardware expected from a more performance-focused pit bike.

At the rear is a 290mm nitrogen-filled piggyback shock with steel bushes.

• Appropriate protective equipment is worn
• The rider is suitably experienced for a 155cc manual dirt bike
• The bike is checked before every ride
• The vehicle is used responsibly and lawfully
• Permission is obtained from the landowner before riding on private land

🛠️ Warranty Information

Petrol vehicles include a 30-day replacement parts warranty.

The warranty covers manufacturing faults only and does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, accident damage or maintenance-related issues. CMW’s current Z3-160 listing confirms the 30-day replacement-parts warranty. 

Warranty exclusions include:

• Chains, belts and split links
• Tyres, tubes and wheels
• Brake components
• Clutches and pull starts
• Fairings and bodywork
• Spark plugs and similar service items
• Other parts subject to normal wear and tear

Customers may be required to provide photographs/videos of faults and fit replacement parts themselves where appropriate.
